Describe it once, and it is made for you alone.

Grace works at $20 an hour plus materials, and opens a fixed number of slots each month — set by what her hands can actually finish. A sweater takes four weeks. An afghan takes eight. Every price is in USD.

A slot is taken when a proposal is accepted, not when a brief is filed. When the Book closes, the Letter announces the month it opens again.

You file a brief

Five fields: the piece, the colours, the size, the date it is needed, and the most you want to spend.

Grace reads it herself

Within two days you receive a written proposal: yarns and colours, estimated hours, materials, the total, and the date it is finished.

You accept, or you do not

Nothing is paid until the proposal is accepted. A brief costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

It is made by one pair of hands

Photographs while it is on the hook, then tissue, twine and a wax seal. It enters the Ledger under its own number.
